Part 1 is an online e-learning module which is completed before the practical training session on any computer or mobile device. You will receive a link to the e-learning module when you book the course Part 2 is a one-day face to face course where you will learn and demonstrate all the practical sections of the role of a paediatric first aider

First Aid: Elements of First Aid at Work will be included Reporting: Understand the role of a first aider and the importance of accurate and timely reporting Life-Saving Resuscitation: Master resuscitation techniques designed for infants and children Assessing Situations: Learn to evaluate emergencies and prioritize actions effectively Managing Unresponsiveness: Build confidence in handling fainting and unresponsive children Choking: Learn step-by-step procedures to clear airways and safely manage foreign objects Injury Care: Provide effective support for head injuries, fractures, wounds, and bleeding Conditions: Responding to asthma attacks, diabetes, sickle cell complications, and seizures Allergies and Shock: Recognize and respond to anaphylaxis, shock, and other critical conditions Burns and Eye Injuries: Deliver immediate care for burns and injuries to the eyes Emergencies: Handle hypothermia, heatstroke, and other temperature-related conditions with care Serious Illnesses: Identify warning signs of meningitis and other life-threatening conditions
